Christian Dior museum in Granville
The Christian Dior museum in Granville is located within the Villa Les Rhumbs. The famous fashion designer's childhood home has become a place devoted to his life and the work of Maison Dior.
A Belle Epoque villa
This peaceful, beautiful estate is perched on a cliff offering a breathtaking view over the sea and the Anglo-Norman islands. Converted between 1906 and 1930 by Madeleine Dior and her son Christian, the villa was a major source of influence to the young couturier.
To do: a walk around the sumptuous gardens that encircle the villa.
Every summer since 1997 the estate displays a temporary exhibition, the theme of which is linked to Maison Dior. This display allows visitors to discover the unique world of the couturier, his sources of inspiration as well as his creations. The collections presented to the public illustrate brilliantly Christian Dior's career and certain models are displayed for the first time !
